Our group are dedicated to understanding and creating topology-mediated structures in soft matter systems, focusing particularly on the new polar liquid crystals, colloids, and elastomers. By leveraging the principles of soft matter physics and modern optics, our research seeks to reveal groundbreaking phase behaviors and exceptional electro-optic properties that surpass traditional understandings. Through rigorous experimental physics and advanced simulations, we aspire to design and seamlessly integrate fluidic soft-matter materials into advanced flexible electro-optic devices, paving the way for the next generation of smart electronics and precise optical manipulation.
